Materials Discovery Beta
Privacy information and data handling
This page describes the current handling of text requirements and the controlled synthetic visual/document test path in BBA’s Materials Discovery Beta. It is not a technical specification, commercial quote, supply, stock, logistics or legal commitment.
What BBA collects and why
When you submit a text requirement, BBA records the requirement, the Need Signature you confirm or correct, catalogue actions and manual-sourcing status. The controlled visual/document test also temporarily stores private originals and derived pages for scanning, extraction and draft analysis. Originals are retained for no more than 7 days and support earlier physical deletion; a minimized structured draft, versions, costs and audits without document text may be retained. Do not enter names, phone numbers, email addresses, contracts, quotations, real drawings or confidential project material.
Session, retention and final disposition
A public browser session lasts for up to 7 days. Beta records that have not moved into a project brief and have no active manual-sourcing item enter retention review after 30 days. Under BBA’s current operating rule, original text is removed or de-identified by day 90; de-identified material attributes and aggregate events may be retained for controlled product improvement. Information that has moved into a project brief enters a separate CRM human-review workflow and is not automatically deleted by this Beta.
Manual deletion requests
While you remain in the same browser session, you can request manual deletion of the current Beta record below the Need Signature. BBA’s operating target is to acknowledge receipt within 2 business days and complete the disposition, or provide a written reason, within 30 days. The deletion audit retains only a record identifier, time and handler; it does not retain the original requirement text.
Feature boundaries
The visual and document path accepts only synthetic, non-sensitive JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and PDF test files that the visitor explicitly confirms. The model is called through the Manus built-in gateway to Google Gemini; gateway-level processing region, log retention and training tier remain unconfirmed, so real customer, personal, contract, quotation, drawing or confidential project files must not be submitted. Native DWG, DXF and Revit, external suppliers and prices, automatic quotation, stock, orders, payment and logistics remain closed.
